Our Story

Our flower story begins with bees.

Our family started keeping bees in 2018. Finding ourselves tight on space, we started looking for farm property where we could sustainably increase the number of hives we manage and grow flowers, bees and people enjoy.

In January of 2020, Honey Paddle became more than an idea when we found the perfect location.

Each year, our signature release of McKenzie River Blossom Honey is produced from the blackberry honey flow and a variety of cover crops and cut-flower blooms grown at our farm along the scenic Walterville canal, off the McKenzie River.

There is something extraordinary about the McKenzie area and community. Creating an environment for bees to craft honey from flowers in this special place holds a tremendous amount of meaning to our family and fulfills a calling. We look forward to greeting you at our farm!

Bee’s Friend Phacelia Honey

You won’t want to miss trying our new honey release. Phacelia is a honey producing cover crop we have grown for a couple years as forage for the bees and as an added benefit, improves the soil health on the farm. Bee’s Friend Phacelia honey has all the warm notes of blackberries and has a intense, honey forward flavor that is wonderful to cook with and enjoy, Phacelia flowers produce an enjoyable sweet, lilac scent and during the peak of harvest, you can see the bees dancing on the majestic purple blooms.
